This is a video I created for my Career Development II course to introduce the steps for completing their major assignment: Career Preparation Research - Ethics in the Workplace. I wrote the script for this short video and then used an Animoto template to create the video. I edited the frame layouts, text effects, and transition effects as well as chose graphics (Adobe Stock) and music (provided by Animoto). This video was uploaded into a learning module in the Blackboard Learning Management System used by Bryant & Stratton College. The purpose of this video was to provide more interesting visual instruction to supplement the plain text assignment details.

The Risk Management Process: Risk Analysis

This is the draft of learning content I wrote to use in a course created on Cornerstone LMS for an insurance education organization. The client provided a rough outline of the lesson objectives and subheadings with a bullet point list of essential topics and information that I enhanced with further research and written detail. The layout of the graphics and information you see in this draft are of my own design and were incorporated into the actual lesson layout. Additionally, at the end of the draft I noted ideas for a knowledge and skills check (built with Cornerstone’s test engine) as well as the incorporation of additional resource links for learners.

The Ultimate Guide to Creating a Resume That Gets You an Interview

I created this course for a client who worked in HR at Bank of America and wanted to have an easy to understand course for individuals wanting to sharpen their job application and interviewing skills based on her experience with applicants in the banking industry. After creating the course storyboard as an outline of the chapter topics and features of the course layout, I wrote detailed original instructional content in a Word document. This process required some research to fill in any gaps in my own knowledge in the most current resume, cover letter and interview preparation strategies. The content was then transferred into Thinkific and the entire course designed using that application.
